Tønsberg train station — train departures

Upcoming train departures from Tønsberg.

Updated:

Next departures — Tønsberg

The Vestfold Line is closed between Drammen and Stokke

From 12 October to 22 November 2026 no RE11 trains run between Drammen and Stokke, because of maintenance and work ahead of the new Nykirke–Barkåker double track. That is why the Tønsberg departure board is empty. Vy runs replacement buses between Asker, Drammen and Stokke, and direct buses between Asker and Tønsberg every ten minutes at rush hour. Trains between Stokke and Skien keep running, though several leave at new times.

No upcoming departures in the data. See the full live timetable in the Trainradar24 app.

There are no upcoming departures from Tønsberg in the data right now. That usually means the last train of the day has gone, or the operator has not published the next service period yet.

About this page

Departures for Tønsberg come from Entur, NLOD 2.0. The board carries the delay reported by the operator, so a train marked on time was on time at the last reporting point — not necessarily for the rest of its run. The app shows the same trains moving on a live map, which is the part a static page cannot do.

The page itself is rebuilt roughly every half hour; open it again for a fresh board rather than relying on a tab left open since morning.

Questions people ask

How do I check whether a train from Tønsberg is delayed?

Open the board above — the status column shows the delay in minutes next to each departure. For a train that has already left, or for one departing later today, the live map in the Trainradar24 app follows the whole run.

Which platform does my train leave from?

The platform column shows it whenever the operator publishes that information. A dash means the platform has not been assigned yet; it usually appears a few minutes before departure, and the screens at Tønsberg remain the final word.

How far ahead does the board go?

It lists the next departures from the moment the page was built, not a full day's timetable. For a train leaving tomorrow, use the search in the app.

Where does the data come from?

From Entur, NLOD 2.0. We do not resell or alter it — we present it next to the live positions we collect ourselves.
